Frequently Asked Questions
-
You'll need to hold an SSI Level 1 Freediving certification or an equivalent qualification from another recognised freediving agency (Padi, Molchanovs, AIDA etc).
-
The SSI Level 2 course develops the skills and knowledge needed to progress towards depths of up to 30 metres. Your actual depth will depend on your individual ability, equalisation, relaxation and progression throughout the course.
-
You'll build on the foundations developed during your beginner course, developing advanced equalisation skills, air management techniques and relaxation practices. Training also covers thoracic cavity stretching to improve flexibility and expand your usable lung capacity, alongside advanced safety and buddying protocols to give you the skills and confidence to plan and train depth safely.
-
The course includes e-learning materials, a theory session, a pool session and three open-water depth sessions. Freediving equipment can be provided, excluding wetsuits. However, we strongly recommend that advanced students invest in their own equipment. Being familiar with gear that you've tried and tested makes it much easier to refine your technique, develop consistency and progress your skills.
-
All advanced courses at Eunoia are taught by owner and lead instructor Rosie Richards. With over eight years of freediving experience, a personal best depth of 55 metres and over a decade of formal teaching experience in the education sector, Rosie brings together extensive practical experience and a strong background in teaching. Her approach combines technical knowledge, personalised instruction and a focus on safety, helping you develop the skills and confidence to become a more capable and independent freediver.
-
Absolutely! You don't need to have completed your beginner course with Eunoia to join our advanced training. If you hold an SSI Level 1 certification or an equivalent qualification from another recognised freediving agency, you can continue your training with us.
