Are there age restrictions on freediving courses?
Technically anyone over the age of 12 can complete a freediving course. We ask anyone under the age of 16 to contact us before booking though, as we also organise youth freediving courses which may be more suitable for younger divers.
Can I freedive if I have a medical condition?
It depends on the condition and whether it would be risky when diving. There is a medical questionnaire to complete prior to training with us - if you answer yes to any of the questions, you will need to gain clearance from a doctor in order to be able to participate.
What gear do I need to complete a freediving course?
There are a few things you will need, such as:
A wetsuit (3mm or thicker)
Fins
Mask & Snorkel
Weightbelt and Weights
Can I hire equipment from Eunoia Freediving?
Yes! I have masks, snorkels, fins, weightbelts and weights available to hire. Just ensure you let me know what you will need once you have booked. If you require wetsuit hire, I can point you in the right direction for this dependant on your location.
If the weather is bad, will the course still go ahead?
Day one of the course will always go ahead as this is theory and pool and weather has no bearing on these sessions. If the weather is bad (windy/rainy/big swell) there is a chance that we will have to reschedule day two of the course - this will be communicated to you in advance and multiple alternate days will be offered.
Do I need to be a certified freediver to come to line training sessions?
Yes, you need to have completed a beginner freediving course in order to line train with us. If there are still any requirements that you need to tick off in order to complete your certification, you can potentially do these during a training session - but please reach out to confirm this with us prior to booking.
Do I need to be a freediver in order to participate in an underwater photoshoot?
No. Anyone, regardless of their ability or experience in the ocean, is able to book and participate in an underwater photoshoot. These experiences are tailored to suit the individual and we can accommodate all levels.
